I Want the Most Comfortable Bedroom Ever!

Tommy is a quiet 15-year-old who likes learning about history and working on the computer. He enjoys watching basketball games and his favorite team is the Boston Celtics. Tommy’s favorite actor is Will Smith and his favorite movies are I, Robot and I Am Legend.

Tommy was born with osteogenesis imperfecta – a condition that causes extremely fragile bones, also known as brittle bone disease. Tommy has dealt with many broken and fractured bones caused by even seemingly harmless injuries and has suffered through so many surgeries that he’s lost count. He’s had rods surgically implanted in both of his legs, his arms, and his spine; he also recently underwent a surgery on his spine for a curvature called scoliosis, during which he lost a lot of blood. Tommy’s doctors have tried experimental IV infusions to help treat his condition, to no avail. Because of his condition, Tommy is confined to a wheelchair and is homeschooled most of the time.
