His favorite baseball team is the NY Yankees and he’s a huge fan of players Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez. Bailey also enjoys school, and his favorite subjects are science, social studies, and health.</p> <p>As an infant, Bailey suffered frequently from bouts of pneumonia. At 16 weeks old, he was tested for and diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. This condition clogs the lungs with mucus and can lead to life-threatening lung infections and also disrupts digestion. Bailey frequently suffers from lung infections and is treated with a percussion vest and daily medications. She also enjoys playing games on her Playstation and playing with her cat, Casper.</p> <p>Madison was born with the connective tissue disorder, Marfan syndrome. She was diagnosed with this condition when she was one and a half years old and it has caused a variety of problems for her, including a dilated aorta, restricted lung capacity, scoliosis, and a detached retina. Madison will need to have her aorta replaced with surgery and is on the waiting list. She also receives daily nebulizer treatments and must eat 13 meals daily because of her condition. She plays tennis and her favorite video games are the “Just Dance” series for the Wii. She loves making art and she even collects rocks.</span></p> <p>For several months in 2011, Gloria was very sick with the flu. She had no energy and was experiencing shortness of breath. She was treated for pneumonia and was then diagnosed with asthma and leukemia. Gloria was immediately started on chemotherapy treatment and she receives a blood transfusion every six weeks to help strengthen her weakened immune system.
