President Barack Obama will be delivering his third State of the Union address this Tuesday evening and, as an attempt to incorporate and further engage the public, he will be answering questions submitted through the White House YouTube.com channel. From today until Saturday, January 28^th YOU will have the chance to submit a question and/or vote for your favorite. Then, on Monday, January 30^th, President Obama will join in a Google + Hangout, participating in a live discussion.

This is a pretty cool move on President Obama’s part. He has always professed to be on the side of the people… and in one special case… he proved it.

With the help of Kids Wish Network, he honored 12-year-old Ta’Kiyah with her very own wish-come-true! In 2007, after several complaints of headaches, Ta’Kiyah’s doctors discovered a malignant tumor on her brain. She spent over six months in the hospital, where she underwent chemotherapy that made her very ill and caused her to miss most of her school year.  President Obama took the time to speak with her and admire the scrapbook she brought him of her photos, special certificates, and report cards.  He carefully looked through the whole scrapbook with her asking her what each photo represented.
